Amy Schumer and Jesse Plemons both criticized Kirsten Dunst for wearing a seat in a funny Oscars skit. At the moment of the comedian’s joke about, you’d think wife-and-husband jokes would be off limits.
Another couple and Jesse Plemons were involved in a seat-filler joke. Because this was a little bit, there was no real (or false) thing to them. Both Dunst and Plemons, partners who got engaged in 2017, were nominated for their roles in “” Dunst, who received her for the best supporting actress. Schumer, in order to highlight the importance of every part of a production, was primarily focused on a specific role at the Oscars, the seat-filler.
“Here’s a seat-filler,” she said, observing Dunst sitting next to Plemons. Can we get you up, honey, do you wanna go to the bathroom, OK? Schumer said, 40, pushing Dunst, 39, out of the frame. ‘Jesse, I’m sorry,’ she said, posing with Dunst.
Plemons, 33, said, “You know, that was my wife.”
“You’re married to that seat-filler?” Schumer asked. “Oh, that’s strange.”
Schumer, who co-hosted the Oscars with Wanda Sykes and Regina Hall earlier in the show, was suspended from the ceiling in a Spider-Man costume. Schumer apologized for joking that Jada Pinkett Smith would reprise her role in the film “G.I. Jane 2.” After the fact that Pinkett Smith has alopecia, Schumer sparked outrage.
