Oscars Producer Will Packer says ‘This Was a Very Difficult Moment for Me, will Smith’s Lapping on Chris Rock.

Oscars Producer Will Packer says ‘This Was a Very Difficult Moment for Me, will Smith’s Lapping on Chris Rock.

On Monday morning, a producer took to Twitter again to discuss one of the most shocking scenes in Oscar history, which aired when an enraged presenter was stationed at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

On Sunday night, Packer did not officially comment on the incident, but posted this tweet: ‘Welp, I wouldn’t be boring #Oscars.’

Some on social media criticize Packer’s remark for being too flippant. One user stated, “Making jokes about an assault that happened during your show isn’t the congratulatory message you think it is.”

Packer came to social media on Monday morning to respond.

When it comes to dealing with pain, black people have a defiant chuckle. Despite the fact that there has been so much of it, I don’t feel the need to elucidate that for you, according to Packer. “But I also don’t mind being transparent and say [sic] that this was a very difficult moment for me. On many levels.”

After the G.I. Jane joked about Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, who has shaved her head during Sunday’s live broadcast, Smith and smacked Rock.

Rock marveled as Smith went back to his seat, “Wow, wow”… Will Smith just grabbed the shake out of me.

“Keep my wife’s name out of your filling mouth!” Smith slammed from his seat.

“Wow dude, it was a G.I. Jane joke,” Rock said, provoking Smith to repeat himself.

Rock paused for a moment before telling the audience: ‘That was the greatest night in television history,’ and then continued by presenting the award for the best documentary.

Not long after, Smith took the stage for his first Oscar appearance. In the film, he portrays Richard Williams, the father of Venus and Serena Williams, who was with the audience.

“Richard Williams was a fierce supporter of his family. In this time in my life, in this moment, I am overwhelmed by what God is calling me to do and be in this world,” Smith said of his acceptance.

He continued by apologizing to the Academy and to his fellow nominees, but offered no apology to Rock.

This is a beautiful moment, and I’m not crying for an award. It’s not about getting a grant for me, but rather about having to enliven all the people… and the whole cast and crew of King Richard and Venus and Serena, as well as the whole Williams family! said the author. Art imitates life. I look like the crazy father, just like they said about Richard Williams! But, love will make you do crazy things.

The Academy, in a statement published following the premiere, said it “does not condone violence of any kind” and stressed that the night is to honor the winners who “deserve this recognition from their peers and film lovers around the world.”

Rock did not file a police report on the incident, according to the LAPD.

Packer, who is influenced by popular girls Trip, had a record-breaking performance, with several smaller hosts. Like Regina Hall, Amy Schumer, and Wanda Sykes, he has seen a steady decrease in ratings.

Packer is in touch with Rock, a former Oscar host who was asked to present Sunday’s Oscar for the best documentary feature.
