Jake Sully Declares His ‘Family’ Is Their ‘Fortress’ As They Face New Threats in ‘Avatar 2’ Trailer. With only seven months till the release of Avatar 2, dubbed Avatar: The Way of the Water, the teaser trailer for James Cameron’s sequel film is now available. Avatar, which was released in 2009 and became the highest-grossing film of all time, has a sequel that looks just as big. Former human Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) are shown in the trailer happily in love after starting a family together. They are compelled to leave home and explore new parts of the moon Pandora when an old threat resurfaces. What could possibly go wrong?

In the whole 1-and-a-half minute teaser trailer, there is barely no speech. “I know one thing,” Jake tells Neytiri, “wherever we go, this family is our castle.” Aside from that, the trailer features stunning images of Pandora and other locales. CCH Pounder as Mo’at, Giovanni Ribisi as Parker Selfridge, Joel David Moore as Norm Spellman, and Dileep Rao as Dr. Max Patel are among the returning cast members.

Plus, despite the fact that their characters killed in the first Avatar film, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, and Matt Geralda return. The whole film will undoubtedly go into greater detail about how it occurred.

There are also new characters. In the trailer, Kate Winslet, who plays Ronal, a Na’vi, appears. General Ardmore of the RDA is played by Edie Falco, marine biologist Dr. Ian Garvin is played by Jermaine Clement, Tonowari is played by Cliff Curtis, and scientist Dr. Karina Mogue is played by Michelle Yeoh. Not to mention Oona Chaplin and Vin Diesel, who have joined the franchise in unknown roles. Last but not least, members of Sully’s family and children from another Na’vi tribe known as Metkayina are played by young cast members Britain Dalton, Filip Geljo, Jamie Flatters, Bailey Bass, Trinity Bliss, Jack Champion, and Duane Evans Jr.

On December 16, 2022, Avatar 2 will be released in theatres. Avatar 3, Avatar 4, and Avatar 5, all of which James is directing, producing, and co-writing, will be released on December 20, 2024, December 18, 2026, and December 22, 2028, respectively.
