2023 Genesis GV70 : First look reveled specification, pictures, price full details.

The BMW X3, Audi Q5, and Mercedes-Benz GLC are just a few examples of small luxury SUVs that the 2023 Genesis GV70 has the appearance, manoeuvrability, and equipment to compete with. Despite having a feature list that rivals and, in some cases, exceeds that of these European brands, the GV70 is more expensive than the Acura RDX and Volvo XC60.

Two turbocharged engines are available for the GV70, and they are distinguished by 2.5T or 3.5T badging. Both trims provide a number of option packages and all-wheel drive (AWD) as a standard feature. Even the interior colour scheme, with hues like Pine Grove Green, Havana Brown, Velvet Burgundy, and Sevilla Red, goes above and beyond expectations.

2023 Genesis GV70 2.5T Standard (starting at $42,900)

It includes a 300-horsepower 2.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine as well as an innovative AWD system and an 8-speed automated transmission with paddle shifters as standard equipment. With settings for Comfort, Eco, Sport, Sport+, and Custom, Drive Mode Select allows the driver to personalise their driving experience.

Genesis outfits the GV70 with a wide range of safety and driver-assist technologies, including a forward-collision warning system that not only identifies automobiles, pedestrians, and cyclists but also approaching vehicles when you’re making a left turn across traffic. Lane-following and lane-keeping assist help the GV70 stay in its lane, while automatic emergency braking can stop the car before an accident occurs.

Additional safety features for drivers include a blind-spot monitor, rear cross-traffic recognition, adaptive cruise control with stop/go, Speed Limit Assist (which regulates the speed of the vehicle based on posted speed limit signs), automatic high-beam headlamps, and a driver drowsiness monitor. Rear parking sensors and Safe Exit Assist, which alerts exiting passengers to oncoming vehicles, are also offered.

Elegant 18-inch alloy wheels, a hands-free power liftgate, LED headlights, heated power side mirrors with turn signal indicators, and rain-sensing wipers are some of the features included on the GV70. The GV70 also features a proximity key fob that allows entry into the car when the owner touches the door handle and is prewired for towing. Push-button start and remote engine starting are further features that the fob supports.

The inside features heated front seats, a second row with 60/40 split-folding seats, leatherette upholstery, a 12-way power driver’s seat with 4-way power lumbar support, and an 8-way power passenger seat.

The instrument cluster of the GV70 has an 8-inch driver information screen between analogue gauges. A dual-zone automated temperature control system with touch controls, an auto-defogging windshield, one-touch power windows, and a tilt/telescoping steering wheel with buttons for Bluetooth and audio are among the interior features.

The GV70’s infotainment system is quite robust, featuring a 14.5-inch color touchscreen connected to a 9-speaker audio system. The system includes navigation, SiriusXM satellite radio, HD Radio, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Genesis Connected Services. The system operates by touch, voice control, or a console-mounted rotary controller. It also features fingerprint authentication for Genesis CarPay, valet mode, and stored personal settings.

In addition to the wireless charging pad, the GV70 includes four USB charge ports and two 12-volt outlets, one in the front console and one in the cargo bay.

The Advanced package ($4,900) requires the Select package, adding leather upholstery, adjustable ambient lighting, manual rear door shades, passenger seat 4-way power lumbar support, a second-row 110-volt outlet, and an Advanced Rear Occupant Alert that can warn the driver if a child or pet is still in the car.

Using radar, Advanced Rear Occupant Alert can detect motion inside the car, honking the horn and flashing the lights to get the driver’s attention. A text notification is sent to the member’s smartphone if subscribed to Genesis Connected Services.

Also included are reverse automatic emergency braking, front parking sensors, a 15-speaker Lexicon audio system, a Surround View Monitor, and a blind-spot monitor camera that projects an image of what’s beside the vehicle when signaling a lane change. Remote Smart Parking Assist can automatically parallel park the car or be activated to pull out of a tight parking spot while the driver stands outside the vehicle.

The Sport Prestige package ($4,150) requires the other two packages, then adds 21-inch alloy wheels, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, three-zone climate control, a leatherette-wrapped upper dash pad, leather upholstery with mesh seat inserts, and the Ergo Motion massaging driver’s seat with power-adjustable bolsters and seat cushion. Genesis Digital Key allows you to use your smartphone as a key, with the option to share the passcode with another user’s phone, allowing them to drive your car.
